The Yield Control System (YCS) for stenter frames uses the Automation Partners proprietary feed forward overfeed control strategy. This unique control algorithm provides excellent results in uniformity of yield and shrink. The YCS uses two PSM-100 Sensor Systems coupled with a Control CPU and Operator Graphical Interface.
The Entry sensor measures the fabric prior to the overfeed roll and the Control CPU compares the course/pick count to the required value (set point). The overfeed speed required to achieve the desired course/pick count is calculated and changed as required. The Exit sensor, at the exit of the stenter frame, monitors the course/pick count to make sure the desired target was reached and serves to document the final result.
